Christmas was a day of family dinners and present opening for most, but a night full of dancing and random adventuring for us! We went to our usual club, The Church, and celebrated the holiday with good drinks and even better music. It was a little bit too crowded for us, but we still had a good time. We did, however, meet new friends and ended up on an adventure, following them across town to a small park, where we hung out until realizing that it was near 4 in the morning. Definitely a successful night. We decided to dress for summer to offset the Winter cold.

Unusual Dallas Wednesday

I had a meeting in Dallas on Wednesday morning, so I spent the rest of the day with Kaliko. We hit some Dallas thrift stores (way more expensive than Fort Worth :/ ) and then North Park Mall for some much-needed people watching and food. We decided that this season was the season for tights and socks, so we purchased a few pairs of socks. I don’t know what it is, but I’ve taken a liking to scrunched crew socks over tights/leggings. You’ll probably see much more of that as it gets colder (gotta protect the feet!). Here’s the fierce shopping wear!

I also took Kaliko out to K-town in Dallas to do a little drinking after her 21st. We went to Bar A and Family Karaoke. I must say that Bar A is actually pretty neat. It’s got a very laid back atmosphere and you get free popcorn!

Thrifty Friday

Friday is our thrift shopping day (most of the time). Aside from our treasure hunting, we did find a nice little Mexican restaurant outside of downtown Fort Worth, Dos Molina’s. The tortillas were delicious and we’d like to go back on another Thrifty Friday soon. After stopping on the side of 28th Street to check out a not-so yard sale and having lunch, we went to a couple of our usual thrift stores. Usually when we’re on the hunt, we buy vintage dresses and skirts. Unfortunately we didn’t hit much gold in that area. We did, however, acquire quite a bit of outerwear. We bought cardigans, jackets, and boleros. Winter just started, so we’ll be warm. Here’s what we wore out on the town.

Family Karaoke Outing

I had the sudden urge to do some singing, so Kaliko and I went out to Family Karaoke in Dallas. If you’ve never been, you should probably go. The drinks are a bit expensive, but the atmosphere is very laid back and the chairs are comfy (that’s if you aren’t dancing around or doing cartwheels). Here’s a couple photos of what we wore ;3
